Vacuum Pump V-710
![]() | Diaphragm Vacuum Pump V-710 - oil freeThe Vacuum Pump V-710 has four diaphragm heads - for high flow rates and a low ultimate vacuum. |
Frequency mode
Can I use the V-710 also in the frequency mode?
The freuqency mode can be in combination with one V-850 / V-855 Vacuum Controller. If more than one vacuum user is connected, the different controllers are switching the pump on and off or the LabVac Module is used.
V-710 with R-250
Is the V-710 suitable to work with a Rotavapor R-250?
The Rotavapor R-250 with a flask size of 50 liters can be operated with a Vacuum Pump V-710. However, due to the large volume and efficient evacuation time, we recommend to use a larger pump, such as an rotary vane pump. As the pump is not ex-proof, the R-250EX cannot be combined.
Tubing of V-710
Can I have a parallel tubing for higher suction volume or a purely serial tubing for lowest ultimate vacuum?
The method to drive the pump in a three stage mode is an optimal combination of high flow rate and low ultimate vacuum. Thus, we do not supply different kind of internal tubings as a standard. Please contact your local Sales Representative for further assistance.
Compatibility with older types of Controllers
I still have older types of BUCHI Controllers in the lab. Is this pump compatible?
The V-700 and V-710 is fully compatible with the older Controllers B-720/721 and V-800/805. The pump is switched on and off according to the desired vacuum. The communication cable 38010 is used.
The new ECO²-Mode
Is the final vacuum affected by the new ECO²-Mode?
No, the final vacuum is not affected by the ECO²-Mode. The ECO²-Mode only reduces the speed of the pump which reduces the capacity after 1h to 2.4 m3/h and after 2h to 1.7 m3/h.
How can I reset the ECO²-Mode?
The ECO²-Mode can be reseted by simply switching the pump off and on again.
Can I switch off the ECO²-Mode?
No, the ECO²-Mode cannot be switched off. However it is not active if the pump is used together with a BUCHI Vacuum Controller. In case that the Vacuum Pump V-710 is utilized as a central lab source pump, we strongly recommend the combination with the LabVac Vacuum Controller V-802 to guaranty maximum evacuation power performance all the time.
