Multivapor Features - save time

Save time means: no sample transfer, fast evaporation process, less maintenance and improved dry-loading technique for chromatography.

High throughput

The Multivapor's design principle with specific adapters makes it possible to integrate your own glassware in the parallel evaporation process making time-consuming sample transfer steps obsolete. Moreover, the effective distillation power of the Multivapor is about 80% of the Rotavapor, resulting in much higher turnover numbers compared to nitrogen blow-down techniques. The Multivapor Adapter Guide provides further information about glassware being compatible with the Multivapor. Multivapor Adapter Guide

Less maintenance

In order to reduce contamination of the vacuum cover by foaming and splashing or boiling retardation, an optional PE frit can be placed in the sample adapter closing the vapor duct. This measure allows also subsequent sample adsorption onto silica gel for chromatographic purposes (the so-called dry-loading technique).

Improved chromatography techniques: dry loading

Dry loading is a common technique in chromatographic separations especially when sparely soluble samples are to be separated. However, adsorption onto silica gel with a rotary evaporator is a critical task since as the process comes to a close the silica is prone to be sucked through the vapor duct into the condenser assembly. With the Mulitvapor this event is prohibited using optional polyethylene frits which close the vapor duct without reducing the evaporation power. The following video clip demonstrates the ease of this task using the Mulivapor:
