Classical extraction methods
BUCHI is the only provider of automated parallel extraction systems for all applications. Fat determination according to AOAC or §64 LFBG is achieved with the Hydrolysis Unit E-416 in combination with the Soxhlet E-816. Alternatively, we also offer hot extraction solutions according to Randall or Goldfisch. The B-811 is the most comprehensive approach for non-fat applications offering Soxhlet Standard, Soxhlet Warm, Hot Extraction and Continuous Flow in one instrument.
Pressurized solvent extraction - SpeedExtractor E-916/914
The SpeedExtractor applies elevated temperatures and pressures to extract compounds from solid and semi-solid samples with a minimum amount of solvent and in unprecedented speed.
The flexible sample volume and the wide range of process parameters make it possible to use the SpeedExtractor in a very wide range of applications: from trace analysis to quality control, from 1 ml to 120 ml sample size, with a simple or very complex matrix. It is mostly used in environmental and foodstuff analysis, for platics and their additives or to extract new actives in pharmaceutical and natural products.
Powerful homogenization – Mixer B-400
The Mixer B-400 is the instrument for sample preparation in the analytical QC laboratory. Organic material - food, feed, leaves, meat, sausages, vegetable, fruit, slurries, suspensions, candies, etc., frozen or fresh - is homogenized and mixed within seconds. Problems you have encountered with samples containing a high amount of water, fiber and/or fat will no longer exist.
