Objective
The course will present spray drying as a strategic technology for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets with emphasize on formulation strategies including solid dispersions, inhalation therapies, vaccine development and aseptic drying. In addition, the course will include dried powder characterization techniques and equipment from both TA and Horiba Instruments.
Hands-on workshops demonstrating lab scale drying up to pilot plant equipment will be presented. You will see the features of each dryer and how formulation and processing conditions effect final dried powder characteristics. Two additional workshops will feature the powder characterization equipment from TA and Horiba.
